This is an amazing special prototype of the famous Eastman 52nd Street baritone saxophone! The 52nd Street saxophone is a professional instrument and comes unlacquered for a truly vintage appearance. It is an exceptionally responsive horn in all registers and produces a big, fat sound with precise intonation. A larger bell and rolled-style tone holes contribute to the sound qualities of this instrument that many compare to some of the great vintage horns of the past.
- 52nd St. Eb Baritone Saxophone
- High F# Key
- Aged Unlacquered Brass Finish
- Large Bell
- Rolled-Style Tone Holes ON THE LOWER STACK ONLY
- Special 52nd St. Engraving
- "S" Neck
This instrument is the same fundamental design as the current 52nd Street bari, but has rolled tone holes on the lower stack only, with straight tone holes on the upper stack. From the playtesting we've done on it, this actually appears to add focus and precision in the upper register, while maintaining that fat crunching sound in the lower register. We got a hold of a few of these limited edition and are making them available at a special price! Brand new, with warranty served through our shop. Includes all manufacturer's accessories, including mouthpiece, cap, and ligature.
